What did you enjoy most about your rural placement?
While on placement, we got the opportunity to go horse riding and learn about mustering. The horse we rode, Comet, is 7 years old and much preferred stopping than starting. We all rode Comet and even tried some trotting and cantering. We met some goats and a young, rescued lamb. To wrap up the afternoon, the cattle dogs were let out. There were around 10 of them and it was very exciting to observe some of them at work rounding up the goats. This was a bucket lister for us in St George and an experience we will never forget!
