Date - 16 December 2020
SQRH delivered specialised Interprofessional Education (IPE) training to staff at their neighbour University Department of Rural Health – the Centre for Rural and Remote Health (CRRH) based in Mt Isa – during August.
Covering a diverse range of IPE topics including role clarification, interprofessional communication, interprofessional conflict resolution, team functioning, collaborative leadership and patient centred care, the training was held via zoom over a four week period. Special focus was placed in building IPE components into student-led clinics and service delivery.
The training helps CRRH staff to implement new strategies with particular emphasis on IPE at their student led rehabilitation service as well as IPE workshopping opportunities.
The two Queensland-based University Departments of Rural Health will continue the learning connection as well as sharing knowledge and experiences.
